that's going to lead to a fire danger in the sierra nevada and a little bit of sunshine. but the air mass that moves on in behind this cold front will be much much cooler. we are talking about eight to ten degrees cooler. today we have the same old setup for the mild conditions but to the north and west of us a dry cold front. it will allow for the weather today to be just like it's been for much of the month. but then finally it looks like our big ridge will be breaking down. the on shore flow out ahead of this system so not as chilly tonight. we are talking just a few upper 30s. more like upper 40s around the bay. and then with the cold front we're not looking at any rain but we are looking at the mild air mass to head to the east. it is going to be replaced by a much colder one and snow up further to the north. we will be looking at a little bit of snow come our way by midweek. but tomorrow we are talking about gusty winds, low relative humidity and cold temperatures in the sierra nevada. so big changes ahead. it's about time. our snowpack just nine percent of average
